History
The Town Co-operative Bank Ltd., Sira is registered under co-operative societies Act on 06-08-1906 vide Regn. No.RDC 8/1906-07 as Town Co-Operative Society Ltd. Sira. It has received RBI Licence to do banking business on 30-12-1987 vide RBI order bearing number UBD/KA/955P/dt:30-12-1987.
At the time of registration during 1906 it was having paid-up and subscribed Capital of Rs.5,200/- with 66 number of members. Now bank has got paid-up and subscribed capital of Rs.1.94 Crores with 7018 number of regular members. It has got Rs.31.96 Crores in various reserves.
The Bank has got administrative office at Sira and has got branches at Sira, Pavagada and Huliyar in Tumkur District.
All the branches and administrative office are fully computerized. Bank is in profit since inception and Net Profit of the Bank is increasing at faster rate since last Nine years. Bank is consistently receiving "A" classification in the Statutory Audit. Bank is a 0% NPA Bank since last 11 years. Capital Adequacy ratio of the Bank is 16.18% as on 31-03-2019 as per the statutory audit report. Bank is standing on the firm financial foot fold. Bank is paying 25% dividend to it's members.
During the year 2009 to 2011 Building of our bank at Sira is modified, extended, well-furnished and administrative block is newly constructed.
Sira branch of the bank is working all the seven days in a week. Area of operation of the bank is Tumkur, Chitradurga, Kolar, Chikkaballapur and Bangalore Rural Districts.
